HOW TO install Pdaimatejam ROM 8779 to HTC HD2

WARNING: Author of this tutorial not responsible for any

problem or damage caused by actions described in this tutorial. All this

actions is already applied by myself on my HTC HD2 device. Before start

check is your battery 50% or more charged, close others programs

(like MSN, TeamViever, Skype, Zune)

and don’t run any other program or process during flashing.

From same beginning, WP7 never or not installed on phone

- If needed (if Android NAND installed, or if any error during flash

process, erase NAND with Task29).

Flashing WM6.5 not needed but you can if want it.

- if you have SIM locked phone and want unlock with code,

you can this only in WM6.5

- insert formatted microSD card to FAT32 in phone

- flash hardware radio (v2.12 or v2.15) if you want (or need).

- use software radio upgrade during ROM flashing (put radio file

part00.bin in data.zip file before ROM flash, also if you need this)

STEP 1. - when HSPL and/or MAGLDR not installed

- Flash HSPL 2.08 if needed (put device in bootloader before Flash:

press and hold Volume down + Power button)





- Flash MAGLDR 1.13 (put device in bootloader before Flash:

press and hold Volume down + Power button)

- When phone boot in MAGLDR use:

* 10. Services, 4. UseLast24NAND

* 10. Services, 5. ClearSD MDR

* go to 5. USB Flasher and run DWI.exe to flash ROM

- after flashing process done, and when show Main screen with Tiles,

do hard reset (Settings - About - reset my phone)

- run Connection Setup, with OK complete configuration and soft reset

(restart) phone

- you are done... ignore next steps

STEP 2. - when HSPL and/or MAGLDR already installed.

Also if Pdaimatejam or CTRLPDA, HD2O ROM, TIGER ROM already installed,

you can skip all steps before step 2.

- when you turn on phone press and hold power button to boot direct to

MAGLDR:

* go to 5. USB Flasher and run DWI.exe to flash ROM


- after flashing process done, and when show Main screen with Tiles,

do hard reset (Settings - About - reset my phone)

- run Connection Setup, with OK complete configuration and soft reset

(restart) phone

- you are done... ignore next steps

STEP 3. If Yuki (BTTF) ROM installed

- you must unlock and format microSD card first

- if you use cab file for unlock card, you must have Yuki ROM on phone,

install 7004 and deploy unlock cab to phone. Format microSD card to FAT32.

- insert microSD card to phone

- when you turn on phone press and hold power button

to boot direct to MAGLDR:

* go to 5. USB Flasher and run DWI.exe to flash ROM

- after flashing process done, and when show Main screen with Tiles,

do hard reset (Settings - About - reset my phone)

- run Connection Setup, with OK complete configuration

and soft reset (restart) phone

- you are done...

WARNING: If dualboot with Android installed on same microSD card,

during WP7 flashing procedure all partition will be deleted.

You can copy all files from Android partition to your PC.

After WP7 flashed repeat procedure to create partition

for WP7 and Android and finally, copy back all files

back to Android partition on micro SD card.

BACKUP OF APPLICATIONS SETTINGS

AND GAME SAVES

(recomended)

Before flashing new ROM, you can save desired

applications settings and game saves.

You can’t backup complete app or game, only settings and saves.

Download Windows Phone Device Manager v1.10.0.0,

install, run and sync with HTC HD2

Go to “Manage applications”, wait to scan for installed apps be done

Select desired apps or game which you want backup,

right click an select Backup.

To restore backup, install fresh app or game to device, run WPDM and

sync HTC HD2, then run backup file on your PC.





COMPLETE ZUNE BACKUP

With newer Windows Phone Device Manager v1.10.0.0,

you can make complete system backup and restore it later

Simple from in main screen of WPDM select

from drop menu Backup/Restore phone

WARNING: if you flashed new ROM, restoring backup will restore older

system in time of backup.

If you don’t want this, use simple backup of

applications and games as described before.

CAB SENDING

WARNING: This option can be use only with Pdaimatejam ROM v7 or newer

You can do this in two ways: with CAB Sender or with wXYUpdater

- With CAB Sender, download tool first, unrar (decompress).

- From folder “if needed install this tool” depends to your system, run and

install Setup-UpdateWP-x86.exe or Setup-UpdateWP-x64.exe

- download desired CAB files and copy it to folder where you unrar WP7

Update Cab Sender There must be file “WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat”

- Zune must be closed

- Run “WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat” and with key “S” start sending process

- With wXYUpdater, download install file first, run and install.

- Close Zune. Run wXYUpdater. On left side of app you can download cab

files from internet or with button BROWSE open it from your PC.

- On right side of tool you see list of selected CAB files. If you sure to want

install, click on INSTALL button.

CHANGING HW KEYS BINDING

This is easily can done. Just start LEO Advanced from apps list.

Select Key Map. Choose which setting you want. Restart phone.

SMS Backup

Use SMSBackup Tool for backup. With … select export & backup.

Slide to tab Backup. Use Backup store.vol.

With any tool extract store.vol from device to PC.

store.vol is located in Isolated store:

09125ea9-95de-469a-aedc-22e35389ab0a\BackupVol\Store.vol

To restore SMS copy store.vol to device and use Restore store.vol



Import Outlook contacts to WP7

In Outlook backup contacts to cvs format.

Import cvs file to LIVE or GMAIL account.

Sync with Live or Gmail account on WP7 device.
